This project was for a young family living in a rural part of Stapleford Abbotts. The husband was a premiership footballer but had decided to stay with a local club rather than look for another transfer that could take him anywhere in the country. Instead they both decided to stay where they were but to make it the home they always wanted. They called in local home extension specialists Create Room who had all of the plans drawn up which became the blueprint for their new-look home. Jay, the owner of Create Room, put his own special design mark into the extension with two 3 metre lantern roof lights and special external sculpturing to the outside roof edge of the extension.

Having worked with Mark from The Kitchen & Makeover Company before, Create Room called them in to work with their customers to design their new dream kitchen and utility area. Immediately Mark recognised that scale was all-important. Having such a large area the kitchen needed to fit the space, not overwhelm it. The outcome is in complete harmony with the space, with an easy-on-the eye and super stylish look that is for more than just a kitchen, it is the centre piece of the extension and a new way of living for the entire family.
